Gameplay

Press ESC and select my character is stuck. This will teleport you to a location on the map. Please let us know of the location you got stuck at so we can fix it. Note: if you are stuck because you cannot see behind a wall to open a door. Press "T" to toggle on transparency mode and you should be able to see objects behind large structures.

The first quest is right when you get to dragonhead village. After that you can get an idea of what to do next by talking to the tavern keeper, he will usually give you a hint. See game manual quest reference for specific information about each quest.

There are a few locations depending on the reagent needed for a spell. The witch in the mystic woodland will likely be the closest, the reverend sells holy water, the druids of Myst Stone also sell many reagents, Alchemists like the one in Brimstone also carry most reagents. You can also find a few from mining guild masters (if its a mine resource) or farmers if its something that can be grown.

We are constantly working on world building... We likely haven't gotten to an area yet as we have been first focusing on areas of the first set of quests.

Yes monsters respawn after a short time. You may adjust this in world settings to scale the spawn time. You will also have some random encounters while wandering the various areas such as the mines or crypts based on your level.

Yes, as long as they are in the same world instance. You can use the bank located in Brimstone to do this. Any items placed in your bank vault are shared between all your characters.

Yes, we are planning on allowing players to either purchase a predesigned house or custom designing their own house and buiilding it on a lot. Its part of the reason for some of the empty space around the explorable map.

We're going to start with Blacksmithing, Carpentry and Leatherwork/Tailoring this fall. We hope to have them partially implemented by the end of the year.

There are numerous ways, fighting monsters, in containers, or even buying them from an enchanter. You wont find the higher level magic weapons yet as we want to add some upper level monsters first. It should be possible to find low level magic items, and in some cases you might find midrange magic items.

Shops are open from 8am till 8pm except for taverns, inns and churches. You can advance time by staying at an inn. Just talk with an innkeeper and ask for a room. You will be able to select the time you want to advance to.

You can adjust the map brightness in the game options/settings under Map Settings. It will allow you to make it brighter, note caves and night are intended to be darker but you can adjust the experience if you like.

General

Early access to single player will start August 11th. Note that the feature set will be incomplete at this point but we want to start getting player feedback and take their input for shaping the game.

This is probably the most requested feature; especially the MMO mode. We are going to start work on it this fall (2025) and hope to have a beta sometime in the first quarter of 2026.

We are planning to do releases every 4 to 6 weeks depending on the feature set. This doesn't include any emergent releases that focus on serious bugs.

We are looking at additional options for game distribution but nothing is officially planned yet.

The game will run on linux using proton or wine however, the IO for mouse and keyboard does not properly function all the time. We can support Linux natively however we will need to find a new sound library which is on our list of coming changes. Mac, we are not sure; in theory if we can find a sound library that can run on Windows, Linux and Mac it should work as the graphics and backend code run on .NET/Mono.

Were expirmenting with Spanish (ES) at the moment; the translation seems fairly promising. So if that goes well we will hopefully add many more languages.

Depending on how large the player base grows to there could be if I have to externalize hosting but there will not be any additional cost initially.

Graphics

  1. Press ALT+Enter while in the game window. You will need to manually change the screen resolution in windows to your liking (See “How do I scale the game play area?” above).
  2. b.You can also check the full screen box in the graphics settings on the options menu.

  1. Scaling should be automatic starting with Alpha 6. Unless you want to customize the scale yourself, the game should automatically choose the largest render size automatically based on the size of the game window.
  2. You can customize scaling in the options menu under graphics. Uncheck the autoscaling check box and slide the scale bar to the desired resolution. Upon closing the options menu, the game should be rescaled.
  3. You can also utilize windows display scaling by checking the Use Windows DPI Scaling option. This will scale your window based on the scaling percentage in windows display settings

Steam Integration

More than likely at some point we will implement some achievements but we want to first get the game to a more mature state.

More than likely we will implement cloud saves for single player.
